Trunk Isolation Expander Series
32 Years of Proven Experience and Performance

 P2670

The purpose of P2670 Trunk Isolation Expander is to provide the following functions:

A. Automatically isolate the TRUNK IN and TRUNK OUT should there is a short between the BROWN or YELLOW wire to GROUND (ORANGE) in the TRUNK OUT.

B. Automatically reset (reconnect) TRUNK IN and TRUNK OUT when the short is cleared in the TRUNK OUT.

C. Allows manually disconnect and re-connect the TRUNK IN and the TRUNK OUT by sending an appropriate command from the central station. (Output type is a B48 Accessor)

D. Provide a trunk expansion capability by incorporating the trunk expander circuitry into the card. (i.e. generate a good square wave signal for the Yellow wire in the Trunk out, provide a detection circuit for the Brown wire and generate a good square wave to the Brown wire in the Trunk In.)

The Accessors are installed in parallel, along the compact four wires Accessor Trunk Cable that provides both power and communication. Utilizing this unique system of data communication and by avoiding the bulky cabling and numerous field stations employed in other monitoring and control systems, Conspec can reduce the installed cost of your system by as much as 66%. Better still, these cost savings are available without sacrificing the distances over which the system can operate or the integrity of the information being transmitted. Generally the Accessor Trunk Cable is capable of transmitting digital data signals effectively for distances of up to 8,000 feet.

 SPECIFICATIONS
Enclosure Type:

Rugged NEMA 4X weatherproof non-metallic enclosure

Distance Covered:

8,000 feet (2,438 m)
Voltage Input: 15 or 24VDC, Jumper defines Power Consumption:  22 mA on 15VDC Trunk42 mA on 24VDC Trunk
There are three LEDs installed on the P2670 (B) top card for indication of the followings:
RX (D10) Flashes when P2670 receives data on the BROWN wire in the Trunk Out (from other Accessors). (Normal condition) When D10 is OFF (when other Accessors are supposed to be responding), it indicates a short on the Brown wire to ground in the Trunk Out. TX (D9) Flashes when P2670 sends data out to the YELLOW wire in the Trunk OUT. (Normal condition) When D9 is OFF (when D8 is flashing), it indicates a short on the Yellow wire (to ground) in the Trunk Out.
Data In (D8) Flashes when data is present on the YELLOW wire in the Trunk IN. (Normal condition) When D8 is OFF, indicates there is no data in the Yellow wire in the TRUNK IN, due to either the central station is not transmitting, or data not getting through to this P2670 card.
